Craigmile, Harry George

Biography: Son of A. Craigmile, Hammersmith Road, Aberdeen ; born 1914 ; educated at Mackie Academy, Stonehaven and Aberdeen Grammar School. He studied Engineering at Robert Gordon's Technical College and at the University where he played a leading part in athletic and dramatic activities. He then became a student-apprentice with Metropolitan Vickers and was later appointed organizing engineer at Dartington Hall, Devonshire. Called to active service with the Royal Air Force, he was early on operational duties and lost his life in February 1941.
