Biography: Son of George Merson; born Buckie, 12 August 1887. M.B., 1909. Lieutenant, R.A.M.C., 15 April 1915; attached 22nd, 3rd, General Hospital; 17th Field Ambulance, 9th Norfolk Regiment, 26th Heavy Artillery Group. Served-Home, 1915; France, May 1915-April 1919. Final rank, Captain.
