Biography: Son of Charles Meldrum; born Birsay, 4 March 1898. Medicine, 1915-16, 1918-. A.U.O.T.C. Private, 3rd Gordon Highlanders, October 1916. Served with 1/6th Gordon Highlanders Home, 13 months; abroad, 5 months, Final rank, Lance Corporal.
