Mearns, Sidney Howard
Biography: Son of Alexander Mearns; born Aberdeen, 13 August 1890. Law, 1910-11. Assistant-Paymaster, Royal Navy Reserve, 16 October 1915. Served in H.M.S. "Dahlia," H.M.S. "Actseon," H.M.S. "Conqueror," H.M.S. "Peel Castle" (Home waters), 1915-18. Final rank, Assistant-Paymaster.
