Biography: Son of James Mathieson; born Aberdeen, 2 June 1891. Medicine, 1913-16, 1920-. A.U.O.T.C. S.B. Attendant, Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve, 7 February 1916. Commissioned, February 1918. Served-H.M.S. "Pembroke", H.M.S. "Agadir", H.M.S. "Plassy", February 1916-February 1918; 5th Destroyer Flotilla, Mediterranean Fleet, March 1918-October 1919. Final rank, Surgeon-Sub-Lieutenant.
