Biography: Son of Ernest Martyn; born Mansfield, 25 August 1886. M.B., 1912. Commissioned, R.A.M.C., 30 September 1914. Served-Home, 1914-15; France, March 1915-April 1919. Final rank, Captain. Chevalier Leopold I (Belgium). Croix de Guerre.
