MacDonald, Donald Roderick

Biography: Son of John MacDonald; born Balgate, Inverness-shire, 31 January 1893 ; educated Tomnacros Public School. He matriculated in Agriculture in 1911 with the intention of specially studying Forestry subjects. He joined the 1st Lovat's Scouts on the outbreak of war, proceeded to Gallipoli in September 1915, and died of wounds received in action at Suvla Bay on 5 December 1915.
