War work-Y.M.C.A., France, 1916,1917 ; Secretary, War Savings Association, Leslie. Commissioned, Royal Army Chaplains' Department, 4th Class, 16 January 1918; attached R.A.M.C., 10th Kings Own Scottish Boarders, etc. Served-Home, 1918; France, Belgium, June 1918-May 1919; Army of Rhine, May-September 1919.
