Biography: Son of Donald MacRae; born Loch Carron, 10 January 1864. B.D., 1890. M.A. (St. Andrew), 1887. University Battery, St. Andrews Captain, Royal Army Chaplains' Department, 5 June 1915; attached 9th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery; 3rd, 4th, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Home service, 1915-17- Final rank, Captain, Senior Chaplain of Brigade. War work-In charge, Scottish Churches' Hut, till it was blown up, Spring, 1918, Beuvry, France.
