Biography: Son of Donald MacLeod; born Stornoway, 24 September 1890. M.A. (I Classics.), 1913. Joined U Company, 4th Gordon Highlanders, 1909. Air craftsman, Royal Navy Air Service, 13 July 1917 ; R.A.F. Served-Home, 1917-19. Final rank, Corporal Mechanic.
