Biography: Son of John McLeod; born Falkirk, 22 January 1888. M.A., 1909. Private, 17th Service Battalion Highland Light Infantry, 12 September 1914; 2nd Lieutenant, 4th Cameron Highlanders (T.F.), 30 May 1917. Served-Home, France, Belgium. Severely wounded. Final rank, Lieutenant.
