Served-Ireland, 1914-15 ; War Office, 1915-18; France, Flanders, Germany, France, January 1918-November 1919. Final rank, Acting Colonel. Distinguished Service Order Two mentions in despatches January, June, 1919. Brevet-Lieutenant-Colonel. Brevet-Colonel.
