Biography: Son of Hector MacLean; born Kincardine, Ross-shire, 23 April 1879. M.B., 1903; M.D. (Highest Honours), 1904; M.Sc. (Liverpool), 1910; D.Sc. (London), 1912. Honorary Captain, R.A.M.C., March 1917; Specialist, Investigation on War Nephritis. Served-Etaples, Aldershot, London 2 ½ years.
