Bisset, George Alexander

Biography: Son of John Bisset and Ann Sophia Bisset, Barnyards, Mintlaw ; born 1909 ; educated at Robert Gordon's College and Peterhead Academy. In 1931 he graduated B.Sc. Later he specialized in Entomology at the Imperial College of Science, and was appointed Assistant Keeper in the Natural History Department of the British Museum. Volunteering for service in the Royal Air Force he trained as a Navigator and was attached to Bomber Command. In March 1943 he was reported missing during flying operations and was officially presumed to have lost his life.
