Biography: Son of Donald MacKay; born Dornoch, 23 November 1897. M.B., 1921. A.U.O.T.C. Cadet, Royal Garrison Artillery, August 1917; commissioned, 20 January 1918. Served-Home, 1917-18; France, March-August 1918. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
