Biography: Son of Percy Henry and Elsie Charlotte Alderwood, Edgware, Middlesex ; born in London, 1922 ; educated at University College School, Hampstead. He joined the Royal Air Force in 1940, and from April to September 1941 attended a Cadets' course at Aberdeen University. He met his death in action on 11 May 1944
