Biography: Son of John MacGregor; born Rayne, Aberdeenshire, 26 November 1880. M.A., 1904. War work- Special Constable, Morayshire, 1915-17; Member of Voluntary Battalion Morayshire Regiment, 1917. Gunner, Royal Garrison Artillery, 19 October 1917. Served-Home, 11 months; France, 4 months Final rank, Siege Signaller.
