Attached 6th Seaforth Highlanders, 4th (Reserve) Gordon Highlanders Served-France, 3 years; Home, 9 months Final rank, Acting Brigadier-General. Companion of Saint Michael and Saint George. Distinguish Service Orders, 2 Bars to Distinguished Service Order. Four mentions in despatches.
