Biography: Son of Murdo MacDonald; born Barvas, 3 December 1893. M.A., 1919. Gunner, Royal Garrison Artillery, 10 December 1915 ; commissioned, January 1919. Served-U.K., 1915-17, 1918-19; France, January 1917-March 1918. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant. Military Medal, September 1917.
