Biography: Son of William MacDonald; born Elgin, 28 November 1864. M.A., 1885. Previously Captain, 6th Seaforth Highlanders (T.). War work-Secretary, Elginshire T.F. Association; Soldiers' and Sailors' Help Society; Prisoners of War Fund. Member of the British Empire, 1919. Name brought to notice of Secretary of State for War.
