Biography: Son of James Lyon; born Aberdeen, 7 March 1896. M.A., 1916; B.D., 1919; Stuart (Hebrew) Prize; King William Scholar. War work-Assistant Chaplain, 1st Scottish General Hospital, 1917-18.
