Biography: Son of Edward Lumsden; born Aberdeen, 9 June 1863. M.A., 1883. Advocate in Aberdeen, 1893. Appointed. Acting Paymaster, 4 March 1915. Home service, Eastern Command Pay Office, London, 1915-19. Mentioned in despatches, 3 September 1918. Final rank, Acting Paymaster.
