Biography: Son of David Lillie ; born Watten, 15 September 1899. Arts, 1916-17, 1919-. Edinburgh University Officer Training Corps, Private, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (T.R.B.), October 1917 ; transferred to Royal Garrison Artillery. Served-Home (London Anti-Aircraft Defences), 1917-18; India, July 1918-February 1919. Final rank, Gunner.
