Biography: Son of William Lamb; born Monquhitter, 2 November 1881. M.A., 1908. Private, 3rd Dragoon Guards, 24 April 1917. Served with 1/5th West Yorkshire Regiment Home, 1917-18; France, Belgium, March-April 1918. Wounded and Prisoner of War, 25 April 1918. Final rank, Private.
