Biography: Son of John Dymock; born Kemnay, 2 February 1877. M.A., 1900. U Company, Gordon Highlanders 1896-1900. Commissioned, Royal Garrison Artillery, September 1900; transferred to Royal Army Ordnance Corps, 1910. Served-France, Belgium, Germany, October 1914-. Final rank, Lieutenant-Colonel. Two mentions in despatches, 1918, 1919. O.B.E., May 1919.
