Biography: Son of Thomas Donald; born Fyvie, 11 April 1880. M.A., 1902.; B.Sc., 1905. Private, Artists' Rifles, August 1916; Royal Garrison Artillery, Cadet School; commissioned, 26 May, 1917. Served-Home, 1916-17; France, Flanders, November 1917-September 1919. Final rank, Captain.
