Biography: Son of John Dawson; born Buckie, 4 September 1888. M.A., 1910; LL.B., 1912. Enlisted, 28th London Regiment, 9 December 1915; attached to 230th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery; commissioned, 28 January 1917. Served - Home, 1 year; France, 2 years 4 months. Final rank, Lieutenant.
