Biography: Son of William H. Davis; born W. Barnsley, Yorks, 11 April 1889. M.B., 1915. Lieutenant, R.A.M.C. (Territorial), 4 January 1916; attached to Highland Field Ambulance, 33 Stationary Hospital, 82nd General Hospital. Served - Home, 1916; Serbia, Salonika, Constantinople, October 1916-January 1920. Final rank, Acting Major. Serbian Order of St. Sava, 4th Class, 1918. O.B.E., 1919. Two mentions in despatches, 1918, 1919.
