Biography: Son of Andrew Barclay; born Aberdeen, 6 May 1891. M.A. (II CIass), 1912. Enlisted (Derby Scheme), December 1915. Gunner, Royal Garrison Artillery, March 1917; 2nd Lieutenant, February 1918. Served- Home, 1917-18; France, Belgium, March 1918-June 1919. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
