McQuiban, William

Biography: Son of James McQuiban ; born London, 23 October 1875 ; educated Gordon's College ; graduated M.B., 1901 ; House Surgeon, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary ; Clinical Aural Assistant, London Hospital ; practised at Stoke Newington 1902-16. McQuiban was commissioned in the R.A.M.C. in August 1916 and was attached to the 50th Indian General Hospital at Bombay for twelve months. In November 1917 he went to Palestine and was stationed at an advanced post doing such good work that his C.O. declared him to be the best worker he had under him. He died from cardiac neuritis in a military hospital at El-Arish on 2 May 1918.

Burial Details: Buried at Kantara War Memorial Cemetery, Plot E, Grave 266.
