Private, 3rd Reserve Battalion Gordon Highlanders, October 1916; 2nd Lieutenant 4th Reserve Battalion Gordon Highlanders, June 1917 ; attached 1/6th Gordon Highlanders. Served-Home, 1916-17, 1918 ; France, December 1917-March 1918, September 1918-March 1919. Final rank, Lieutenant.
