Biography: Son of Joseph Knox; born Aberdeen, 12 June 1875. M.A. (I CIass), 1897; Black Prize. 2nd Lieutenant, 4th Gordon Highlanders, 4 December 1915 ; attached to 4th Reserve, 2/5th, 53rd (Young Soldiers), Gordon Highlanders. Served-Home, 1915-19; France, July-October 1916. Final rank, Lieutenant.
