Biography: Son of George Knox; born Auchnagatt, 2 January 1889. M.B., 1913. Lieutenant, R.A.M.C., 20 December 1914; attached to 23rd Division; 141st Field Ambulance, 2nd Royal Sussex Regiment, 3rd Grenadier Guards. Served -Home, 1914-15 ; France, August 1915-November 1918 ; Germany (Army of Occupation), November 1918-March 1919. Final rank, Captain. Military Cross, January 1918. Bar to M.C., November 1918.
