Biography: Son of James Kerr; born Aberdeen, 12 July 1880. M.A., 1903 ; B.Sc., 1906 ; B.D. (Hons.), 1906 ; Gladstone Memorial, Drum, Stuart (Hebrew), Prizes ; Bruce and Fraser Scholar. Gunner, Royal Garrison Artillery (Highland Fife Ter.), 4 December 1915. Served with, Royal Engineers; commissioned, Royal Army Chaplains' Department, November 1917. Served-Home, 1915-16 ; France, Belgium, September 1916-February 1917, November 1917-March 1919. Final rank, Captain (C.F.).
