(T.F.), 21 September 1914; attached to 1st Home Counties Field Ambulance; 81st Field Ambulance; M.O., 2nd Royal Irish Fusiliers ; O.C. 86th Field Ambulance. Served-France, Macedonia, Turkey, December 1914-June 1919. Final rank, Acting Lieutenant-Colonel. Military Cross, September 1915. Two mentions, January 1916, June 1919.
