Enlisted, Gordon Highlanders, 1909; commissioned, 4th Gordon Highlanders, August 1915 ; attached to ""C"" 3rd Battalion Tank Corps, 22nd Light Batt. Tank Corps. Served-France, March-May 1915 ; wounded; Home, 1915-16; France, 1917-September 1918; Home, 1918-19. Final rank, Acting Major. M.C., February 1918.
