Biography: Son of Thomas Johnson; born Crook, Durham, 27 March 1879. M.B., 1901; M.D., 1910. Lieutenant, R.A.M.C., 7 December 1914. Served-Home, 3 months; Egypt, March-June 1915. Invalided home. Final rank, Lieutenant. War work-Civil Surgeon, 4th London General (King's College) Hospital, 1 year.
