Biography: Son of John Hunter; born Aberfeldy, 20 January 1892. M.A., 1912. Private, 4th Gordon Highlanders, 23 March 1915; commissioned, Royal Garrison Artillery, 5 August 1917. Served-Home, 2½ years; France, 2 years. Final rank, Lieutenant. Mentioned, October 1918.
