Biography: Son of William F. Heggs; born West Bromwich, 13 December 1879. M.B., 1902 ; M.D., 1904. Joined Aberdeen University Company, R.A.M.C., 1898; commissioned, 1/4th The Buffs (East Kent. Regiment, Territorial Force), 1907. Mobilized Captain, 1914. Transferred R.A.M.C. Served-Home, August-October 1914; India, Aden, India, Mesopotamia, 1914-19. Final rank, Major.
