Biography: Son of William Hall; born Ettrick, 22 February 1872. Arts, 1888-89. M.B., 1893. Surgeon, Royal Navy, 1895. Mobilized, August 1914. Served in H.M.S. ""Hannibal"", ""Vivid"", H.M. ""Australia"", H.M. ""Soudan"", 1914-16. Employed at Gallipoli; after evacuation, with Grand Fleet, Rosyth, Cromarty, Scapa. Medical Department, Admiralty, 1916-19. Final rank, Surgeon-Captain. C.M.G., August 1919.
