Biography: Son of Heneage Gibbes; born Sidmouth, 5 September 1850. M.B., 1872; M.D., 1875; D.P.H. (Camb.), 1879. War work-Senior Physician, National Hospital, Diseases of the Heart, London (examined 12,500 recruits), 1916, 1917, 1918.
