Biography: Son of William Gammie; born Turriff, 12 May 1895. Arts, 1913-14- Private, U Company, 4th Gordon Highlanders, April 1914. Mobilized, August 1914. Commissioned, 19 December 1917. Served with 154th Machine Gun Corps, 4th Battalion Tank Corps. Home, 1914-15, 1915-16, 1917-18; France, February 1915, July 1916-February 1917, March 1918-. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
