Biography: Son of William Gadsby; born Taranaki, New Zealand, 23 March 1895. M.B., 1919. A.U.O.T.C. Surgeon-Sub-Lieutenant, R.N.V.R., 18 May 1916. Served in H.M.S. ""Owl"". At sea. Final rank, Surgeon-Sub-Lieutenant.
Second World War: Medical Officer in charge of Mobile Unit Ambulance Service, 1939-1946.
