Biography: Son of William Findlay; born Benholm, Kincardineshire, 30 May 1869. M.A. (I Class), 1889; Seafield Latin Medal, Black Prize. Commissioned, Royal Army Chaplains' Department, 4th Class, December 1915; attached to Scottish Horse; 24th Stationary Hospital, E.E.F.; Highland Light Infantry. Served-Home, 11 months; Egypt, Palestine, 13 months. Final rank, Captain, Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Class.
