Biography: Son of James Fiddes; born Aberdeen, 10 September 1896. B.Com., 1920. 2nd Lieutenant, Royal Field Artillery (Territorial), February 1915. Served-Home, 1915-17; Mesopotamia, August 1917-March 1918; Palestine, March 1918-February 1919. Final rank, Lieutenant.
