Biography: Son of Joseph Fenton; born Slains, Aberdeenshire, 29 November 1870. M.A. (I Class), 1891; Black Prize, Town Council Gold Medal, 1891; M.B. (Hon. Dist.), 1895. Joined Indian Medical Service, July 1897. Mobilized as Major, 1914. Served-France, 1915-16; India, N.W.F., 1917; Mesopotamia, 1918-19. Final rank, Lieutenant-Colonel. Mentioned in despatches, 1919.
