Biography: Son of William Elwood; born Grimsby, 4 June 1877; M.B., 1903. Lieutenant, R.A.M.C., November 1914. Served-France (Medical Officer, 62nd Brigade Royal Field Artillery), 1915; Salonika (Medical Officer, General Hospital), 1916-17, attached to Serbian Army.
