Biography: Son of William Cormack ; born Newhills, Aberdeen, 20 June 1891. M.A. (II Lat-Fr.), 1913. Private, U Company, 4th Gordon Highlanders, 1909-13. Commissioned, August 1914. Discharged. Private, 3rd Gordon Highlanders, September 1914; R.A.M.C, November 1914. Finally discharged on account of health. War work-Allotment Holders'Association; Boys'Forestry Camps, 1917-19.
