Biography: Son of Patrick Cooper; born Aberdeen, 18 November 1887. LL.B., 1912 ; B.A. (Cantab.). Commissioned, 7th London Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, February 1906. Mobilized, August 1914 . Served-Home, 1914-15 ; France, February-August 1915, January-March 1916. Wounded. Assistant Deputy Director General, Trench Warfare Department, Ministry of Munitions, London, 1916-18. Final rank, Major. Brevet-Major, June 1918. Mentioned in despatches, 1917.
