Biography

Lawyer and poet. Born Dundee. Matriculated St Andrews 1564, grad. 1568. Regent in King's Coll., 1569. Travelled to France, studied at Poitiers. Returned to Scotland. Commissary of Dundee 1580 but jurisdiction declared void 1581. Notary public in 1583. Master of Edinburgh grammar school 1584-95. Advocate 1597-9. Appears to have died Jan 1599. Brother of Robert Rollock, first principal of Edinburgh University.
